Wardrobe Planning: 'Rude' Girl

In my film, the main character Amy gets confronted by another girl around her age while sitting alone. This interaction is meant to represent how Amy is treated poorly by her peers and struggles with social interaction. I wanted the other girl, A.K.A. Rude Girl, to have a contrasting aesthetic from Amy. Me and the actress playing her collaborated to pick an outfit that we felt reflected the "popular girl" vibe that the character is supposed to give off.

'Rude: Girl's Opening Outfit

We went with a basic trendy outfit, a crop top and cargo pants. The lack of color in the outfit shows that the character doesn't have an interesting personality. We also gave the character sunglasses to represent the stereotypical "too cool for you" character seen commonly in coming-of-age films.
