Picking a Title Font
For my title card and opening credits, I had to decide on which font I felt best suited the vibe of the film and the aesthetic I was going for. As I've said before, I want the film to be dreamy and feminine. I am opting for a more simple title card with a slightly vintage feel, as I will have the test fade in like an old Hollywood movie. I feel like this vintage vibe will also match my first few opening shots, which I have edited to feel like a film recording (I'll make a post about that soon). I explored many fonts, but in the end, I was between three.

The first font I chose had a very dreamlike quality to it, which matched the theme of my film. It reminds me of The Twilight Zone, which I like. But, I think it's a bit too 'spooky' for what I want.

The second font I chose was a cute, sketchy, handwriting font. I thought it suited the "doodle" motif that I use throughout the film (again, another blog post). But ultimately it seemed a little too childish for the film.

The third font was definitely my favorite. It had the classy vintage vibe I was looking for and it also felt dreamy. The cursive script also still had a handwriting feel while being a little cleaner than the other font. This is the font I picked! I also decided to add a shadow behind the text to make the white pop out a bit against the colored wide shot.
