Project Introduction

 Hi there. cinephiles, it's Sabrina! 

I love stories that focus on a character maturing and growing, realistic fiction tales that have a sense of universal reliability to the experience of being a teenager and going through all the changes that come with that stage of life. That's why I want to focus my film opening on the coming-of-age genre. I also think shooting a scene in this genre will be attainable for me as I can cast teenage actors and film in locations that I frequent as an adolescent. 

Because I want my story to feel representative of the teenage experience to a wide audience, I am targeting teens of any socioeconomic background. I want everyone to feel seen through my storytelling. I specifically want to highlight the common feelings of desolation and social isolation that many kids feel throughout their high school years. I want to show the audience a realistic portrayal of loneliness as it affects teenagers. 

I would like to make some improvements on my technical skills such as recording video and audio. I would also like to work on my lighting techniques and see how I can utilize light in my film.
